I believe your family law matter will benefit from my international education and work experience.

Originally from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, I travelled the world as the child of a diplomat before choosing to settle in Calgary in 2015.

I obtained my Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) at the University of Capetown in South Africa before pursuing my Masters of Laws (LL.M.) in International Human Rights and Gender from the Washington College of Law at American University in Washington D.C. I then moved back to Zimbabwe, where I was called to the Bar before working at the Law Society in the area of Continued Legal Education.

After moving to Calgary, I worked as a Judicial Clerk at the Alberta Court of Appeal where I gained an intimate understanding of the laws of procedure. While working as a Judicial Clerk, I commenced the process of requalifying as a lawyer in Alberta. Upon completing my legal equivalency exams I joined Mincher Koeman LLP, where I have developed a passion for family law, particularly in matters involving child welfare proceedings, the Hague Convention, and the complexities that arise from the placement of First Nation children into non-Indigenous homes. So far in my time here, some of my most memorable tasks have involved appearing on a matter involving the Extra-Provincial Enforcement of Custody Orders Act and assisting our First Nation clients in ensuring cultural safety for their children by challenging the placement of Indigenous children in non-Indigenous homes.

In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering my time by serving on a City of Calgary Commission and serving food to the homeless. I also love interacting with people from various cultures and tasting foods from around the world.
